Tesla cuts references to ‘self-driving’ from its Chinese website after crash and tries ‘self-assisted driving’ instead
Following an accident on Aug. 2, which raised concerns about how Tesla's sales staff has been marketing the vehicles' autopilot feature in China, the company dropped terms from its website that refer to "self-driving" and instead used a phrase that means "self-assisted driving."
