Ahead of a development forum in Guangzhou, the police order cheaper hotels in the city to bar guests from Muslim-majority countries

hree hotels in Guangzhou with rooms costing about $23 a night said that police ordered them to turn away people from Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Afghanistan, but China's foreign ministry said it was unaware of such a policy.
