Analysts say data problems are exaggerating the appearance of a crisis in China’s private investment figures

ear-on-year comparisons do not offer an accurate picture of private investment because some private firms have joined the state sector after the government intervened during last year's stock market crash. Also, those ownership changes weren't recognized by China's statistics bureau until January 2016.
