Nobel laureate criticizes China’s plan for a super particle collider as an investment ‘black hole’ of little scientific value
Yang Chen-ning, co-winner of the Nobel Prize in physics in 1957, argued on WeChat that China's $21 billion plan to build a super collider would not succeed where the United States had failed in a similar project that was abandoned due to cost overruns.
