Opinion: With East Asian actors relegated to supporting rather than leading roles, story diversity suffers while critics and China’s movie market are superficially appeased

"Until Hollywood actually decides to make them core parts of the action franchise films it so desperately seeks to sell overseas, they’ll remain on the margins — of their own stories, and the ones that are shared by the world."
