Academic says China has reduced its execution of criminals by 60 percent to ‘a few thousand’ in 2015

change in the way the court system reviews capital-punishment cases led to China putting to death "a few thousand" criminals last year, compared to more than 10,000 in 2006, academics said at a legal forum.
