Police fire rubber bullets and use tear gas to end protests in Wukan over the jailing of the democratically elected chief of the village

he southern Chinese village of Wukan was seen as a potential model for political reform in China with its democratic election of a chief, Lin Zuluan, in 2012. Lin was jailed for three years last week on charges of corruption.
