NFL backs off initial plans to play a game in China by 2018 after facing challenges with time differences, Chinese politics and local interest

t's difficult to find a time for a game that can make American and Chinese fans happy given the 12-hour time difference, and only 500,000 Chinese fans consistently watch American football games online. Additionally, the NFL has concerns about how it would appear by working with a country that restricts freedom of speech, movement and religion.
