s American lawmakers raise more questions about the purchases of U.S. firms by Chinese and Russian companies with government ties, the scope of the authority of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States will be reviewed. A Republican politician who frequently criticizes the Communist Party said the step would help determine whether U.S. national security should include issues of "foreign control of media and other 'soft power' institutions."
