Southeast Asian nations turn toward the U.S. as exports to China drop
Five of the six largest economies in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations showed growth of their exports to the United States in the first quarter, while shipments to China dropped for four of them. "The U.S. used to be the engine of growth in Asia, then it got sidelined by China and it’s now back," said one economist.
