Authorities in major Chinese cities propose new regulations on the ride-hailing industry, posing a threat to Didi

idi said new regulations being suggested by Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and other major Chinese cities would force "the vast majority" of the company's drivers and cars to stop operating. The rules concern drivers' residency permits, car sizes and GPS devices.
