Russian military official says his nation and China are collaborating to counter the U.S.’s expansion of its missile-defense program

ieutenant General Viktor Poznikhir of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff says the countries are working together to "minimize possible damage" to security posed by Washington's bid to take "unilateral steps" to deal with global and regional issues under the "guise" of missile defense. The U.S. missile buildup "could lead to a decrease in the threshold for using nuclear weapons to preempt enemy actions,” Poznikhir told a security forum in Xiangshan.
