Starbucks to double its China stores in five years as Chinese middle class adopts coffee culture

laiming the company's more than 2,300 stores “have barely even scratched the surface” of the growing demand for coffee among the country’s middle class, Starbucks China head Belinda Wong has announced plans to open 500 stores a year until 2021.
