A clear sky in Beijing

People visit the Forbidden City, the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (1420–1912), on a beautiful day in Beijing. In recent years, many Chinese cities have been impacted by smoggy air caused by pollution. In order to better control air pollution and to improve air quality, Beijing is making a five-year plan, which will decrease the burning of coal from 10 million tons to 5 million tons per year.
