Ploughing farmland

A farmer plows his terraced fields on the Loess Plateau, which is located around the Wei River valley in central China. The plateau used to be mostly covered with dense forests and lush grasslands, but it suffers from great water loss and soil erosion due to deforestation and overgrazing.
