A road on a rooftop: Viral videos in China, June 19-23, 2017

  1. A building in Chongqing has a road on its roof.
The road is apparently the rooftop of a 5-story building. The neighborhood is surrounded by mountains and overlooks the Yangtze River.

  2. This is the last ‘chain bridge’ over the Jinsha River, the Chinese name for the upper stretches of the Yangtze in Sichuan. Villagers have been using Yingge Bridge for 18 years. It is 470 meters long and 270 meters high, the highest chain bridge in Asia. A new bridge will replace the old bridge and is set to open in June 2018. The old bridge will remain as a tourist attraction.

  3. Video of China’s homegrown J-10B multirole fighter made waves this week. The jet will be shown at the Russia-organized 2017 International Army Games from July 29 to August 12.

  4. Thousands of red carp formed a line and circled in a lake in Shanxi Province.
