Alibaba announced it will bring car vending machines to China by the end of this year.
This concept video released by the company shows how the process will work:
First, customers browse through a selection of vehicles on their mobile phone.
Then, after they finish making their choice and paying the down payment, a car will be delivered from the vending machine to the ground floor.
“It will make buying cars as easy as buying a can of Coke,” the ecommerce company said.
The concept of selling cars in a vending machine is not new.
Secondhand car dealer Autobahn Motors opened a car vending machine in Singapore in May 2017.
The 15-floor tower is able to house 60 luxury cars.
