Katrin is a Swiss native based in Beijing, where she works for the Global Times Metro Beijing section as a writer and video journalist. Interested in starting her journalism career in China, she moved to Shanghai in 2016, where she finished her dual master’s degree in Global Media with the Fudan journalism school and the Paris Institute of Political Studies. She has previously interned for a Swiss newspaper, a production company, the National Youth Council, and worked as a flight attendant. She’s the co-founder of a refugee organization in Switzerland named ActiveAsyl. Apart from her work, she also runs an event on personal development in Beijing.
